Do I need an account to use BAS Events?
No. You can browse, search and use the map without signing in. You need an account to save events, mark that you’re going, comment, report content, block someone, or submit an event.
How do I sign in?
Choose one of: a sign-in link sent to your email (no password needed), Sign in with Apple, or Google. If the email link doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder, then contact us.
How do I list my event?
Sign in, tap Submit at the top of the feed, and fill in your event’s details. Every event is reviewed by our team before it appears in the app. If you need to change or remove an event after submitting it, email us.
Why wasn’t my event approved?
Common reasons: we couldn’t confirm the date or venue, it duplicated an existing listing, the images weren’t yours to use, or the content wasn’t suitable for a general audience. Email us if you’d like to know more.
Is BAS Events free?
Yes. Downloading the app, browsing events and submitting an event are free. If an event is ticketed, you pay the organizer directly — BAS does not sell tickets or take payments.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Arabic and Kurdish (Sorani). In Arabic and Kurdish the app switches to right-to-left.
Does BAS use my location?
No. BAS doesn’t ask for your device’s location. You choose your home city or governorate in the app, and you can change it whenever you like.
Why are some map pins in the middle of a city?
Events with an exact venue are pinned at that venue. Events submitted with only a city are grouped around the city’s location. Open the event to see its full address.
An event I saved has changed or been cancelled.
Event details come from organizers and can change. Always check with the organizer before you travel. If a listing is wrong, please report it.
Report content
An event: open the event and tap Report, then choose what’s wrong.
A comment: use the Report option on the comment.
You need to be signed in to report. If you’re browsing as a guest, the app will ask you to sign in first. Our team reviews every report.
You can also report by email. Tell us the event’s name and city, and what is wrong.
Block someone
Use the Block option on one of their comments and confirm. Their comments are hidden from you. You need to be signed in to block someone.
